When I visited a large city, I tried to concentrate on one or two areas. For example, I love the magnificent mile and thought that would be a good stop and then go over to the Navy Pier to see what Chicago’s version of San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Warf was doing.

There were significant vacancies on the mile strip, with some flagship store locations vacant. However, many people were still walking around, some with masks and some without masks.

There felt safe during my visit and were not bothered by aggressive panhandlers or anything like that. There was a little negative impact on the space other than the vacancies.

Navy Pier had a lot of vacancies, especially near the end of the pier. Harry Caray’s was open.
