The final five projects are my projects. I was in town in 1994. I currently live in Downingtown.
Downingtown is more of a highway downtown with business route 30 as the main street. People tend to move through the town faster than some traditional downtowns. There are some glaring vacancies in the town. A large signature project bank building is closed and vacant. There are other key vacancies. I do not think much had to do with the virus, but it is just the condition of the town.
A historic district has no oversight, and some signage is inappropriate. The downtown seriously lacks a sense of place. On the other hand, the pocket parks in the town are well done and well maintained.
