I have been to the Wharf on several occasions. This time it was not as many people as usual, but there was still was a nice crowd. The street performers and buskers were out along the sidewalks as you entered.

There were not many vacancies. I saw two as I wandered through the Wharf. I enjoyed indoor dining, which was hard to come by in California.

Before this trip, when I was on the sidewalk between the Wharf and AT&T stadium, I had encountered issues with homeless people with mental health issues. I saw none of that this trip.

One of the times, I had to stop and wait someone out because they were following too close behind us, and the woman I was walking with became frightened. She was African American, and the homeless guy who was also black was yelling racial stuff at her. It was hard to stand there, but it was the best strategy as he left and did not attack us while we had our backs to him.

I was warned by police about car break-in activity when they saw my out of state plates. They asked me to remove my cooler from the back seat as someone would try to steal it. It is like that in Philadelphia too, on Vine Street between 6th and Broad streets. They do not tell you in Philly because it is understood by the locals. I had out of state tags so they alerted me so it might be understood by the locals in San Francisco. Lot of glass on the ground.
