There was a major housing expansion at the Millbrae train station. I believe that parking there is getting tighter as they increase the number of people living next to the station. Smart growth utilizing Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) should always keep parking consistent during improvements like this TOD.

I always stay at a hotel close to here when I visit as it is close to the airport and easy to get to the rental car return from Millbrae. I normally eat breakfast every morning at the Millbrae Pancake House, which had closed but was reopened when I got to California on this trip. However, I did not stop because it was late afternoon, and I already had fish and chips at Fisherman’s Warf.

There were vacancies downtown. Some of the signs announced that people would go out of business. There were some outdoor dining options, but much of the town remained desolate when I visited.
