There was little or no foot traffic in downtown Milwaukee. I was standing in the middle of downtown, and there was not one person or was there one car threat that went by. However, I did stand around in the street too long at one point, and someone driving 70 miles an hour through the downtown blew the horn, and I had to move quickly.
There was a good design strategy in the town, and the planters matched architecturally. Although some differed in the material used, I did not think that mattered. I was impressed with the streetscape and felt a good effort put forth by the designers.
I crossed a bridge, and it appeared that all the people in the town were in one area. It was not a large area but what was there had people and cars. There were no signs of protests, and I did not see any boarded buildings.
