I liked Mt Shasta as it was easy to visit compared to Sedona, Arizona, which focuses on the atmosphere. There was foot traffic on the street. It was hard to find a place to eat. The outdoor dining was under construction, one of the main restaurants were moving, and there was a long line.
There were some stores open. The Heinz Danzberger Gallery was no longer a public space but would only open for private appointments or invitations. The owner was concerned about a medical condition and limited his exposure.
The Mountain is beautiful, and I was impressed with how they have the viewing machines set up in the center of town. Someone put some thought into the layout of the town.
