I spent two days in Portland and stayed at the Moxy Hotel in Memphis. This Moxy was a little different but the same theme for the most part. The Moxy was central to the downtown and provided me with a good base of operations.
The town was boarded up pretty tight. However, some stores were open, and many used boarded doors as an entryway.
There were not many people on the street, but there were some. There were some with a mask, but I would say most people were unmasked. The larger stores functioned more as a disaster relief than a real store. It was an awakening.
I was able to eat both days indoors. You had to wear a mask upon entry, but you could task it off once you were seated.
There were issues in Portland with the boarded buildings. The protestors would paint elaborate drawings, and the building owners would cover many of them up.
