Sanderson was hit by a flood in 1965 and did not recover. The buildings were in ruins, and there was not much going on. Yet, it must have been a good place to be at one point. There were no really large buildings. There was a nice older sculpture garden.
They had a sculpture garden which was largely overgrown with plants with thorns. It was a challenge to walk through it but it was a well done presentation.
They had a wonderful metal sculpture store. I wanted to buy something but there we no one in the store. I searched around. I did not know the prices for sculptures, so I could not just leave money at the front desk.
