There were many vacancies as this is the main entertainment district for Philadelphia. The Theater of the Living Arts was converted to a vaccine center. The laws in Philadelphia were strict for food and beverage establishments.
They have some nice mosaic murals on the street, and to a great extent, it defines the street. They wanted to have different streetlights from the ones in the center city. Before I got there, they put in their own lights and did not maintain them correctly. I was able to cut the deal to put in the center city light but paint them any color I wanted. The committee selected fire engine red.
