I thought it was time to significantly move west, and I drove about 5 hours to Texas. According to the map, Sulfur Springs was about 5 hours away, so I decided to stay there. I have spent time in Dallas and did not think I wanted to go there on this trip. I had also organized unions in Wichita Falls but decided I would not visit there again. However, Sulfur Springs seemed to have a lot to offer.

I got into town, checked into my hotel, and went over to the Braun’s Dairy Store had a banana split for lunch. Unfortunately, it was located near the highway, and I had to drive to get there from my hotel.

I then went downtown. It was a great downtown. There were historic buildings a very well-maintained war memorial. The stores were open and offered a wide variety of merchandise. They had some vacant storefronts, but it did not look like it was hit that hard.

The town is visually appealing.
